So as you all can see, this piece is tagged with "Electronic". However, Parker and I honestly have no idea what to call this, or any of our future compositions of this nature. It is really just its own thing, and so will be any future releases that we do together. We are striving to bring a new form and structure to music itself. Both electronic, and classical types of music. Bringing all of these highly sophisticated compositions to a new place where any type of listener is given a possibility to enjoy music. Both the casual listener of popular genres, as well as the more analytical musician. Parker and I have a few other projects that we are working on, and we are excited to see how the Lord will use our gifts for His Glory. For this song, Parker wrote some incredible melodies on piano after I came to him with a contemporary acoustic bit that I had started. He was able to quickly hear what was needed, and composed the perfect parts to go along with what I had initially put together. From there, we went out to a couple of local spots where we live here in Colorado. We chose some really beautiful views to sit in front of, and recorded conversations we had about our vision for music, and for this song specifically. We then took the recordings and chopped out vocal bits that sounded melodic and appealing. Then a few effects and filters later, we had another melody layer to add to the track. Finally, Parker wrote the final melody that you hear us singing at the end of the song. He sang the lower octave and I sang the higher one. This song was produced by me, and co-produced by Parker, all in Logic Pro. Thank you guys for tuning in, and look out for our future collaborative efforts!
Also... Parker did the artwork! =)
